Seth discusses the PAIRS Foundation’s roots, beginning with his mother’s efforts to discover “what could have made a difference”, after the breakdown of her own marriage. The resulting AI tool, called ‘Yodi’, offers free practical relationship skills. Seth explains that these focus on evidence-based healthy communication, conflict resolution, and emotional literacy techniques. These are areas that are often overlooked but fundamental to a successful marriage, he says.

Seth explains that many marriage breakdowns stem from a lack of skills, not desire. He states: “It’s not that people are inherently broken; we are facing epidemics of incompetence” in relationships. He adds that the app is built to help people find their own answers. Unlike traditional therapy, which he says sometimes accelerates divorce, Yodi focuses on helping individuals master practical skills for sustaining their marriages.

The interview also addresses the importance of giving marriages time and space during crises. Seth points out that “one of the most important things to help a couple going through a crisis is time itself”. He shares that the Yodi app acts as an AI-driven partner in practising these skills, even when a spouse may not be immediately available. This accessibility, he claims, makes learning about relationship maintenance both practical and flexible.

Seth encourages those interested to download Yodi, which has already reached 200,000 users in over 175 countries. He believes “anybody who is open to learning and growing… has enormous opportunities”, particularly when it comes to building a resilient marriage.
