Norman Wells Remembered (Part 2)
Our series of interviews continues with the second of a two-part retrospective on the life and work of former C4M board member, Norman Wells who sadly passed away last year.
Previously we heard how Norman convinced Dr Trevor Stammers of the dangers of legalising same-sex marriage.
In part 2, Tony and Trevor talk about Norman’s profound insight into the need to protect children from the risks of broken homes and teenage sexual exploitation. A subject that was close to Norman’s heart.
Trevor describes the enduring significance of Norman’s book ‘Unprotected’ published in 2017. This ‘ground-breaking’ work analyses cases of child sexual abuse of children and found that time after time professionals missed opportunities to protect children because they ignored the age of consent.
