OLYMPIC MOCKERY OF MARRIAGE AND FAMILY
Olympic organisers have been widely criticised over the content of last Friday’s opening ceremony. What should have been a celebration of global unity and sporting excellence was marred by a blatant promotion of ideologies that undermine, among other things, the institutions of marriage and family – ironically, those values which bring about the best outcomes in society.
The ceremony included prominent displays from drag queens (men flamboyantly dressed as women), and even the portrayal of polyamorous relationships. One particular scene received comment for depicting three individuals in a romantic relationship, closing the door on the audience as they enter their bedroom.
The acceptance of so-called transgender ideologies does not stop at the opening ceremony, with several news outlets highlighting the number of ‘trans’ athletes taking part. Astonishingly, this even includes male athletes competing in women’s boxing competitions.
The opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics has, sadly, become a platform for promoting ideologies that devalue the institution of real marriage.
At C4M, we know it is imperative to speak out against the promotion of values that threaten the foundation of marriage. After all, real marriage remains the thing that brings about the best version of the next generation. It is the bedrock of a stable, thriving and high-performing society.
